Yuri asked me to do some sketches of what Rikku looked like before Lunarfables, when she was completely evil. So I did this sketch. Yes, her hair is long. I don't think it would look that great without the long hair. But who knows.
Vera nice.
*looks over the top of her glasses* You do know this isn't pre-LunarFables, it's the beginning of LunarFables. This would be Rikku's first-appearance look, reader's first impression, yadda yadda.
I'm really liking the mask. That's an amazing touch. As far as the hair goes, yes, I'm shortening it. The bangs will end somewhere between chin and shoulder length and the rest will be about, eh, bottom of the rib cage length. As LunarFables goes, her hair will grow out. I promise! x3
The costume is very appropriate as is the expression, undoubtedly. You're gonna hate me, but, as much as I love the wings, I can't draw them very well let alone draw them panel for panel in action. Maybe they won't make it.
FOR NOW, I'm gonna try. The first draft of LunarFables will feature Rikku with wings. We'll just have to see how it goes.
Keep playing with her costume until your 100% happy with it. This particular outfit is for Volume II - Among the Heartless, so try to keep in mind the camp and prisoner details. Also, the lovely trek she and Lily take.
Once your satisfied, I'll make out a character design image like the ones I made for Silver and Lily. So make sure that you are satisfied! (I honestly don't have a problem remaking character designs (in fact, I expect to remake almost all of them at least once), I just prefer to do them as few times as possible I need to.)
Actually.. I did mean pre-lunarfables. Rikku comes into Lunarfables with her reputation built already. People are going to want to know about before Lunarfables. How Rikku became so well known as a killer- member?
We could probably make it so that Rikku's wings kind of appear and disburse when they aren't in use as well. I'll come up with some more costumes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

If you were to steal my ammonia and I were to steal your bleach, how could there ever be a chance for passionate noxious gas love? ©
